How to Wear & Replace a Medical Mask: A Step-by-Step Guide (Nose Bridge, Ear Straps, Disposable Flow)
Wearing a medical mask correctly is more than putting it on. This tutorial provides a simple step-by-step process using D&M “Jingxin” adult flat medical masks (17.5×9.5 cm) with a nose bridge wire and nylon ear straps—plus clear disposable replacement guidance.
Step 1: Confirm orientation before wearing
Check the inner/outer side and the formed direction of the mask. Correct orientation helps the mask sit properly and reduces edge lifting.
Step 2: Shape the nose bridge first
Gently press the nose bridge wire after putting on the ear straps. This is often the biggest factor behind slipping and frequent readjustment.
Step 3: Adjust the lower edge and do a quick fit check
Make sure the bottom edge covers under the chin and the sides lie flat. A 10-second check can prevent discomfort during daily movement.
Disposable replacement rhythm (when to change)
Replace immediately if the mask becomes wet or visibly soiled, or if it keeps loosening. As a disposable medical mask, it should not be reused.
